Summers in India prove to be very hot and tiring for both our mind and body. Our schedule, however, doesn’t change a bit.
More often then not, we are so preoccupied with errands or work that we happen to skip exclusive seasonal fun.
Which is why this summer we’ve compiled a list of full proof ways for you to enjoy the season with a happy mind and a comfortable body.
- Unwind with Coolers or Smoothies
This quick stress buster is just 3 ingredients away.
Wine, fruit juice and ice.
A glass of this, your favourite book and a cosy spot = a guaranteed good time.
If you aren’t into alcohol, smoothies are a great alternative to boost brain function and make the mind clear! All you need is a water heavy, vegetable and fruit base. After that add in flavours and herbs that you like or want to experiment with. Throw in some ice and you’ve got yourself a cool nutritious summer treat!Our personal favourite for summer is

- Rejuvenate with Masks
Whoever said swimming pools are a must for relaxing in summers definitely didn’t hear about cooling masks. These have been around forever and help with calming the skin and getting a good sleep. - Get refreshed with Fruit Juices
This one’s a no-brainer as we all know juices are a great source of instant energy. In an emergency, these can be a quick refreshment. In summers, it’s better to pick fruit juices that have the most water content for maximum hydrating effect. We’re talking about melons, apples, oranges, peaches and the likes of these. However, do keep in mind that these juices include an unhealthy amount of sugar and it’s smart to keep their intake to a minimum throughout the day.
- Snack breaks with Ice Lollies
A great way for you to make the most of your mini-breaks on a scorching summer afternoon is with some stick ice-cream. It is a delicious snack and with capitalism, on the rise, there’s just more and more alternatives every 6 months!
You can also make these recipes at home for a more wholesome snack or even freeze some yoghurt for a quicker solution.
- Fruit Ice Cubes
To make these, all you have to do is add some pieces of fruit or herbs to your ice cubes. Add these to any drink and you’ve got yourself a tropical vibe at home at 0.00001% of the price of an actual tropical vacation.
