A quick search on the World Wide Web (the hipsters in us like saying it that way) tells us that the definition of boho-chic is this:

“Boho-chic is a style of fashion drawing on various bohemian and hippie influences, which, at its height in late 2005 was associated particularly with actress Sienna Miller and model Kate Moss in England and actress and businesswoman Mary-Kate Olsen in the United States. It has been seen since the early 1990s and, although appearing to wane from time to time, has repeatedly re-surfaced in varying guises.”

While this may be the origin of the look, what really sets boho-chic apart is the timeless, wild nomad- chic-ness of it. The look that says: I’m ready for all the beauty and majesty life has to offer! And with the kind of weather we experience here in India: Hot summers, mild summers, rainy summer and cold summers, boho-chic is a great look to rock.

Wear a long and loose maxi skirt with a printed crop top – BOHO! Wear a shorts with boots and a spaghetti top and a long printed cover-up or a Kimono – (you guessed right!) BOHO!

4. Of Fringes and Tassels – Bag it!

The hippiness or the gypsiness of this look is best brought forth with the way you accessorize it! Lay those neat cut messenger bags and satchels to rest and opt for bags with a lot of fringe and tassel detailing to nail the boho look.

5. Tie ‘em pretties up – Tie up Flats

As a measure to save the best for the last, we decided to keep this aspect of the Boho look for the end.

Tie-up flats are everything for this look, because they really “tie the whole look together.” *wink wink*
